CHERRYHOLMES
Special guest: Christopher Rees
Cherryholmes - America’s first family of Bluegrass - are instrumentally and vocally dynamite. Their live performances are dazzling, with twin fiddles, classic country yodelling, old-time claw-hammer banjo and some soulful gospel singing in addition to their dynamic bluegrass - all topped off with some wonderful step-dancing.
Cherryholmes have just released their fourth album “Common Threads” – and they have won the International Bluegrass Music Association award for best entertainers. The band has also received four Grammy nominations.
“This is third generation bluegrass music at its sublime best. Playing and singing seems to come as naturally as breathing to this phenomenon called Cherryholmes” Country Music People
Christopher Rees “A spit and sawdust holler that’s as close to a Southern hell-fire preacher as you can get hailing from Cardiff. Very, very good” Mojo magazine
