CRIME OF THE CENTURY
CHICKENSHED
“I shanked him. D’ya hear what I’m saying? I shanked him.”
London’s acclaimed Chickenshed Theatre Company pack an explosive and emotional punch in their stunning exploration of gang culture and knife crime amongst young people.
Based on true events, Crime of the Century portrays a stark yet compelling journey to one fatal moment and its repercussions upon a local community. Performed to a contemporary score of hip hop and dance music it is a must-see performance that is honest and heartfelt, shocking as well as compassionate.
Winning rave reviews at the Edinburgh Fringe last year the show blends drama, music and dance into an attention holding mix for anyone aged 11 years and over.
“…if the twenty first century will be remembered as the time we let our children kill each other, Chickenshed will be remembered as the theatre company who had the guts to ask how and why.” Time Out * * * *
